At the meeting between Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Volodymyr Groysman, members of the Ukrainian parliamentary delegation and members of the Swedish Riksdag group for cooperation with Ukraine, Groysman offered the Swedish colleagues to discuss a possibility of further agreement of actions at the international parliamentary organizations to settle the conflict in the east of Ukraine. He said Ukraine was committed to the implementation of the Minsk agreements, on the other hand Ukraine did not see readiness of Russia to restore peace. The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also drew attention to the escalation of the conflict in the east of Ukraine. "It is very important to be united, to share single position as to the Minsk agreement," Groysman said. He called on the friendship group of the Swedish Riksdag to facilitate "European Union's support of Ukraine." Groysman drew attention to the fact that next year, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) has to eye the issue of further limitation of Russian delegation's authorities. He said "there are no grounds today to revise that PACE's position on the issue."
In turn, Head of the Friendship Group Krister Hammarbergh assured Ukrainian colleagues that all political forces represented at the Swedish Parliament supported Ukraine. He said there was no a person at the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs, who would have another vision. "We do not forget about Ukraine and will further pay attention to it," he said.
